Advocacy and Community Participation
Emily’s goal is to facilitate and encourage inclusive practices in all communities, paving the way for as many people as possible to have an active involvement in community, social and civic activities.
The Mummel Road – Community Programs is a Registered Charity which has gift recipient status. The Community Programs aims to bring the community together through education, awareness and shared experiences. Emily is hoping to build a strong network of inclusive services that can offer access and participation to everyone. Please contact Emily if you are interested in being a part of this movement.
Our ‘Growing Together’ Program is the flagship progra, Mummel Road has facilitated gardening programs for children on the autism spectrum. The children are offered the opportunity to grow, care for, harvest and sell fresh food at the local markets. With all profits returning to the program to buy resources for the gardens. This program has been running successfully for 4 years and has changed the lives of children and teenagers on the autism spectrum.

My aim is to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to use their strengths to set achievable goals. I want all the individuals that I work with to unlock their full potential.
